A little over a year ago, Lindsey and Spencer were given the greatest trial of their lives. Lindsey was on bedrest for preterm labor at 24 weeks pregnant. At that time I reached out to them and told them I would capture any moments they would like and to let me know of any changes over the next few weeks. Sadly a few weeks later I got a call from Lindsey saying their baby girl Monroe, who had been born at 28 weeks, would need to be removed from life support and they would like me to come capture their last few hours with her. Lindsey and I remained close the following year and when I got the news that Lindsey and Spencer were expecting their rainbow baby I didn’t hesitate to be a part of this amazing experience for them! I am so humbled to have such wonderful people placed in to my life. Penelope’s arrival was not an easy one and there were more moments of fear and bedrest, followed with gestational diabetes and dangerous high fluids in her amniotic sack. I came to visit them while they were on bedrest and came back a few days later when it was time to deliver sweet Penny! I am so grateful to get the silent permission from nurses and doctors to be in the resuscitation room while Lindsey had her c-section and so happy to have wonderful nurses to take pictures in the operating room where I wasn’t allowed in. So many wonderful tender mercies happened with this little girl and I know her big sister is looking out for her little family in any way she can. I love you Jacobson family! I can’t wait to watch Penelope grow!!!!
